Incorporated in July 1999, the majority of MPT Equipment personnel consists of ex-Electroglas employees with over 10 years of manufacturing, service and technical experience. MPT Equipment is involved in all aspects in regard to Electroglas Wafer Probers, from the older 1034X model, the 2001X, 2010X, and up to the newer 4000 series systems.
We buy probers from all over the world, and we completely disassemble them down to the nuts and bolts-then we rebuild them, using many new parts in critical areas. Our rebuilt systems meet or exceed the original EG factory specs.
MPT Equipment also reprofiles the forcer and platen (as required) for improved accuracy-a task that is done by very few facilities.
We have complete parts support for the 2001X, and some additional parts support for the 2010X handler Module.
Finally, MPT is not simply a rebuilder of EG systems-we design and market our own vision products and accuracy testing tools.
Our vision system is currently specializing in AutoAlign, replacing the older EG Vision Module by Cognex and PRU (Pattern Recognition Unit) by View Engineering. The MPT offering is much faster and more accurate than the Cognex unit. And because it is PC_based, hardware replacements are cheap and available, while adding power is equally simple as our company makes newer, faster microprocessors each year.
MPT Equipment offers serious Electroglas expertise. We are not simply a broker or refurbishment house - all of our employees worked for Electroglas for a long time. Our sales and technical support group has over 10 years experience. This expertise extends throughout our staff, and allows us to offer real-world solutions to a variety of emerging needs as the older systems must keep up with the demands of our modern factory.
